I was born and raised in Penzance Cornwall was educated at Heamoor, St.Pauls and Humphry Davy School until 1986.
Having always had an interest in Illustration, studied for 4 years at Falmouth School of Art & Design.
After graduating in 1990 with a BTEC HND in Technical Illustration, I moved to Hamburg, Germany at the age of 22 and worked at Deutsche Aerospace where I was to spend the next 4 years creating Illustrated Part Catalogues for Airbus Industries.
I enjoyed my time there, and throughout the early '90's took the opportunity to visit many countries in Europe.
In 1995, I moved back to the UK and after some freelance Graphic Design work, moved to Camborne and joined the Technical Publications Department at, what was then, Europe's longest running Engineering Firm, CompAir Holman.
It was there I met Pat Tonkin, Nigel Willoughby, Holman's outstanding Technical Author, whom I believe used to proof read Dictionaries in his spare time ;-) and my good friend, business partner and an exceptional Illustrator, Alan Hales. I was to stay there until the site finally closed in 2003.
